Lionidze Zvari - since 2006

The company "Lionidze Zvari" was founded in 2006 and since then it has been keeping the centuries-old Georgian traditions and cultural heritage.

This is proved not only by the field of activity, which is manifested in the cultivation of vineyards and wine production but also by the base where the vineyards are located. The area has long been known for its special vineyards and belonged to the Secretary of our famous King Erekle II, the famous diplomat, and public figure Solomon Lionidze. This domain can be considered special within the Tsinandali microzone, with its particular soil and microclimate conditions.

Our production of wine and strong alcoholic beverages is based on ancient Georgian traditions and modern technologies, which in our opinion gives us a basis to establish an honorable place in the world market in this field. This statement is substantiated by the fact that modern science is increasingly recognizing Georgia as the "homeland of wine". The oldest traces of winemaking were discovered on the territory of Georgia. Viticulture has existed in Georgia for almost 8,000 years, from where it has spread throughout the world and has had a great impact on the formation of agriculture, folk culture, biology, medicine, and civilization in general.

Due to ethnic diversity, our country is distinguished by a different cultural heritage. Hospitality and Georgian traditional supra, wine, tamada (toastmaster), and toasts are the main components of Georgian culture and identity. That is why one of the two methods of making wine known and accepted in the world is Georgian, in this respect the eastern part of Georgia, the Kakheti region, a place with an ancient winemaking culture is noteworthy.
